Our District
Neighbors answering the bell, every single time
Crawford Township Benefited Fire District isn't a bureaucracy. It's a brotherhood and sisterhood of people who live, work, and raise families right here in Crawfordsville. When the alarm sounds at 2 a.m., they don't clock in — they wake up.
Our volunteers come from every walk of life: farmers, teachers, tradespeople, and small business owners. What unites them is a commitment to the people next door. They train relentlessly because the moments that matter don't wait for a convenient time.
Serving a mix of residential neighborhoods, farmland, and commercial corridors, we respond to a wide spectrum of emergencies — from kitchen fires and medical calls to multi-vehicle accidents on rural routes. No job is too small, no call is too late.
Our Mission
To protect life, property, and the environment through prompt, professional emergency response and proactive community safety education.
Our Promise
Every call matters. Every life counts. We show up with everything we have, every time — because our community deserves nothing less.
